Luís Cláudio Pinto de Faria, was born in the city of Ubá, Minas Gerais. He started in capoeira in March 1978 with a capoeirista named Pedro Baiano. Then he started to train with Master Tista. In 1990 together with some friends he founded the Capoeira Group Guerreiros de Zumbi and from 1992 he joined the Senzala Group under the direction of Master Ramos and the supervision of Master Peixinho. He was formed as a corda vermelha in August 2012.
He trained several graduates, teachers and contramestres and he has several centers in many cities in the Zona da Mata region of Minas Gerais such as Ubá, Rio Pomba, Rodeiro, Guidoval, Barbacena, Antônio Carlos, Campolide. He also cores in Italy and Serbia.
Since 2001 he has been making trips abroad, he has visited more than 50 countries through capoeira, promoting not only capoeira, the group, but also the city of Ubá.
